How it works

From your voice to a lasting piece of art.

  1. 01

    Upload or Record

Record a voice, or upload a voice memo, voicemail or video.

  2. 02

    Create

TraceSound draws the sound as your own soundwave glyph.

  3. 03

    Scan

Frame it, wear it or tattoo it — any phone plays it back, right in the browser.

Your memories stay yours.

Your voice is personal. We never sell it, never train AI on it, and the camera feed never leaves your phone. Privacy Policy

A key only the glyph carries

Unguessable, and never in a web address.

Always yours to download

The audio and the artwork, any time.

You control your memory

Delete anytime. Only you can.

The transformation

From sound → to a memory you can see.

Same emotion. A new form. The soundwave itself is what gets scanned — there is no QR code beside it — so the art stays whole and still plays the original recording.

A TraceSound glyph in ink and wine: soundwave art made from a recording of “I love you, Dad”, which plays when it is scanned.
A real glyph, not a picture of one. Try scanning it.
“Not just a sound.
A story, in a new form.”

Your voice, your way

One sound. Infinite ways to keep it.

The sound, the artwork and the keepsake — all from one glyph, all in one place. Every copy plays the same voice when it is scanned.

Keepsakes that play the voice

Real voices. Real stories.

Some moments were never meant to disappear.

Six reasons people keep a voice — and the faces they were thinking of when they pressed record.

A young hand holding an elderly hand.
Always here

Someone who is no longer here

“Still with me, in a different way.”

A parent holding a sleeping baby cheek to cheek.
First words

The first I love you

“A moment I’ll cherish forever.”

An older woman and a young woman laughing together, foreheads touching.
Family

A voice you never want to forget

“Her laugh still feels like home.”

A bride and groom leaning into each other on their wedding day.
A promise

Wedding vows

“The words that changed everything.”

A small child laughing with their eyes shut.
Little joys

A laugh you know by heart

“That sound could light up any room.”

Someone sitting alone watching the sun set over water.
Tomorrow

A message for the future

“For the day you need to hear this.”

The Forever Promise

“Forever” is a promise. Here is what keeps it.

A voice that depends on a yearly fee plays only for as long as someone keeps paying. A memory should not depend on a subscription, or even on us. So we built TraceSound so it does not.

  • The Forever Fund

A share of our profits, set aside in a bank reserve that exists only to keep your recording online.

  • Nothing to renew

One payment. No subscription, no yearly fee, nothing that stops working when a card expires.

  • Your own copy

Download the audio and the artwork whenever you like. The voice is never ours to lose.

  • A plan, in writing

3 months' notice, your files sent back, and the collection handed on — should we ever stop.

Simple pricing

Pay once. Yours forever.

1 USD buys 1 credit, always — no packs, no bulk rate. Priced by length, not by the glyph: 3 credits per 30 seconds, 0% off. No subscription, no renewal fee, nothing that stops working if you stop paying.

Questions

Everything people ask us

How does a TraceSound glyph play a voice?

Every glyph is soundwave art whose shape also carries a private key. Point a phone camera at it on the TraceSound scan page, and the key unlocks the recording it was made from — it plays right in the browser.

How a glyph differs from a QR code
Do I need an app to scan it?

No. Scanning works in the web browser of any modern phone. There is nothing to install, and the person scanning does not need an account.

Scan a glyph
Is there a subscription or yearly fee?

Never. You pay once to keep a glyph, priced by the length of the recording, and it plays for good. A share of our profits goes into the Forever Fund, a bank reserve that pays for keeping recordings online.

What happens if TraceSound shuts down?

Every owner gets at least 3 months' notice by email and a copy of each of their recordings, and the collection passes — with the Forever Fund — to a successor or an archive. You can also download your audio at any time.

Can I turn a voicemail from someone who has passed away into a glyph?

Yes — that is one of the most common reasons people come to us. Upload the voicemail or voice memo, and TraceSound keeps the real recording: their actual voice, never an AI imitation.

How to keep a loved one’s voice
Can I turn a voice note into a keepsake?

Yes. Upload a voice note from WhatsApp, iMessage or Voice Memos — or record one in the browser — and it becomes soundwave art that plays the real recording when scanned. Print it in a card, frame it for the grandparents, or give it as a gift.

Voice note keepsakes
Can I get a soundwave tattoo that actually plays?

Yes. Keep your glyph, download the artwork and give it to your tattoo artist. Print it at the size you plan and test the scan first. Any phone can then scan the tattoo to hear the voice.

The soundwave tattoo guide
Can TraceSound make a keepsake from my glyph?

Yes — that is what sets TraceSound apart. We keep the sound, draw the artwork and make the keepsake from the same glyph: UV-printed acrylic blocks and laser-engraved oak boards with your own words, previewed live, and made only with methods we have scan-tested.

See the soundwave keepsakes
Who can hear my recording?

Anyone who scans one of its glyphs — so a framed print plays for every visitor. The key cannot be guessed, but it can be copied from the glyph, so only put one where you are happy for it to be heard.

Can I try it before paying?

Yes. Make a glyph from your own recording and scan it before you create an account or pay anything. An unpaid preview plays for 3 days.
